Ingredients
  

Tofu Satay

  • 200 g firm tofu drained, pressed, and cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 4 wooden skewers soaked in water for at least 20 minutes
  • Peanut sauce:

Peanut Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon sriracha or chili sauce adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon warm water for thinning

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, marinate tofu cubes with soy sauce, lime juice, curry powder, and turmeric for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat.
  • Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto the soaked skewers.
  • Grill the tofu skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
  • For the peanut sauce, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, maple syrup, ginger, and sriracha in a small bowl. Whisk together and gradually add warm water until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Serve the tofu satay skewers with the peanut sauce for dipping.
