Originally from China, onion coffee is making the rounds in the Western world. But why would you mix coffee with onions?
Honestly, there’s no clear answer to that question. The recipe was first found on TikTok and shows a person at a food stand chopping spring onions and mixing them with a double shot of espresso and some milk.
From what I’m seeing, it doesn’t seem that this is a regular Chinese coffee recipe. Instead, it seems like it’s a recipe that was invented to go viral. If that’s the case, it’s definitely succeeding!
What Does It Taste Like?
